Murphy was one of 24 equines seized from a property in June, 2018 and placed along with two others at H.O.P.E. Acres through Valiant Animal Rescue. Since then he has become a part of the rescue family.
This friendly little guy is often a "starter donkey" for new volunteers. He also accompanies us to events like the Coastal Carolina Fair where he helps us introduce H.O.P.E. Acres to the community. Not all rescue donkeys are suited to public interaction or to being taken off-site to big events, so we keep Murphy on the payroll as an ambassador and educational assistant. He takes his salary in cheerios.
