Kami is sweet and easy-going in spite of where she came from. She changed multiple hands over the course of a year, at one point ending up in an auction before coming to H.O.P.E. in March, 2022. She was malnourished, suffering from rain rot, and had a hoof infection so bad that it was infested with maggots. She was sociable from the start, though, and was comfortable enough during her first farrier visit to enjoy a brief nap in a volunteer's arms. Her laid-back nature has made her a great companion for some of our other senior horses.
