Enjoy an afternoon of live music and great food at the Honkytonk Saloon! Proceeds from the event will contribute to the new barn for the horses of H.O.P.E. Acres Rescue. Various local bands will play from 12pm - 7pm and there will be fun activities for the whole family. Ticket includes one plate of BBQ and sides. There are only 150 plates of BBQ so purchase early and don't miss out!

Friends of the Berkeley Animal Center are holding their annual Rescue Me event. Food trucks, vendors, and various rescue organizations (including H.O.P.E.!) will be there. Come out to support your local animal rescues and maybe you'll find a new friend.
Run or walk the H.O.P.E. Lope 5k 2021, our second annual fundraiser benefiting the horses of H.O.P.E. Acres Rescue! This one's completely virtual folks, so you can participate anywhere and at any pace you choose. Whether you walk around your neighborhood, run through the park, or jog on a treadmill, it’s up to you.
Registration includes a HOPE Lope 5k shirt and race bag. We’re kicking off the race March 6 with a socially distant event on the patio at Bohemian Bull on James Island. If you’re in the area, enjoy the music of The Bryan Robert's Band and great food when you come by to pick up your race bag!

Important Note About Swag Bags:
UPDATE March 5: We have everything in hand except for race bibs. Local runners will be able to pick up their race bags tomorrow afternoon at Bohemian Bull on James Island, but the bags will not contain bibs. Please remember this is a fun run, there are no prizes, and the bibs are not technically necessary for the completion of the race. However, we know that people like to collect them and have them for photos, so we wish to provide them for you. If you are a local runner and would like us to mail your bib to you when we get them, let us know when you pick up your bag.
For those getting their swag bags in the mail, your envelopes are packed, labeled, and ready to go out via Priority Mail on Monday. Delivery for Priority Mail is 1-3 days, so you should have your race shirts next week with time to complete the race by March 15th.
We apologize for the delay in shipping, and thank you for your patience, support, and participation in the HOPE Lope 5k. Please reach out if you have further questions and concerns.
UPDATE March 2: We are now out of swag bags! If you register after this point, you will still receive a HOPE Lope 5k shirt, but just the shirt — no bag or medal. Since any new runners will not get the full swag bag package, we have dropped the registration to $30 and the shipping fee to $5.
FEBRUARY 24: Due to the phenomenal number of registrations for the HOPE Lope 5k this year, our swag bag inventory will soon be depleted. As of Feb. 24th, the next 25 registrants will receive the full swag package with shirts, medals, and bags! Any who register after those 25 will STILL receive HOPE Lope t-shirts, but just the shirts. We'll make it clear once those 25 are up and lower the shipping fee for just the shirts.
We thank everyone for their participation this year. We have had an incredible showing of support for our second annual Lope. We're already looking toward next year's race and hope that all of you will join us again in 2022!
