The Charleston Battery take on the Tampa Bay Rowdies. It's America Night and H.O.P.E. Acres Rescue is proud to be the Nonprofit of The Match!
There will be red, white and blue giveaways at the gate, a monster truck on the concourse, post game Fireworks and the Crossbar Challenge. Keep an eye on the field at half-time as one of our team members goes up against a Battery player to hit the goal crossbar to score a donation to the rescue! Hope to see you, your friends and the family for a great night of soccer! |

H.O.P.E. Acres Rescue is once again participating in Lowcountry Giving Day which is part of National Give Local Day. All donations received on September 19, 2017 will go directly toward the launch of "Honey's Fund". This fund is being developed in honor of our very own Honey, who was rescued this year with a very extensive injury which was left untreated for many months. Subsequently she developed a severe infection that almost cost Honey her life. This beautiful mare has now undergone her fourth procedure to date with the assistance of our local veterinarian, Dr. Justin Miller (pictured with Honey) of Charleston Equine Clinic and Orthopedic Specialist, Dr. Caldwell of Auburn University. Our goal with this fund is to build a reserve for future horses who suffer severe neglect or tragedy requiring extensive medical treatment. As a non-profit entity, the monetary backing to support these rehabilitations can take a toll on us financially as we typically care for 15-20 horses on the farm at any given time. "Honey's Fund" will provide the monetary platform allowing us to take immediate action to provide medical treatment to those in need without the necessity to raise the funds per instance.

Have you wanted to start volunteering at H.O.P.E. Acres? This is your day! Bring your friends, spouse, kids, neighbors, co-workers, sturdy close-toed shoes, and lots of smiles!
We are a 100% volunteer organization which means that we have zero, none, not even one paid member of our organization - ever. Even our President and all of our board members are volunteers. Here's your chance to see what makes us so passionate about volunteering and what keeps us coming back! We will start the day with some introductions and then get everyone engaged in some work around the farm. What you should expect: fence building and repair, water trough cleaning, hay cleanup, horse grooming, weed eating, lawn mowing, pressure washing, general shenanigans, and loads of fun! We love what we do and want to make sure you have fun volunteering too! Things we could use: Pressure washers, weed eaters, construction savvy people, and horse savvy people! HOPE to see y'all there! |
