Hamilton arrived at H.O.P.E. Acres as part of a large animal seizure by Berkeley Animal Control in July, 2023. After the case was closed in September, he was released to H.O.P.E. along with Pepe and Twinkles.

Suspicious of people, it has taken time and patience for him to warm up to volunteers.
