This handsome fellow was donated to the rescue in 2024 to act as an ambassador and educational assistant. Atlas cannot be ridden because of an incurable issue with his front feet, but because of his young age and otherwise good health, his previous owner worried that a new owner might try to ride him anyway and cause Atlas a lot of avoidable pain and injury. To protect him from this situation, he was given to H.O.P.E. with the stipulation that he never be ridden.
Some rescued horses are unsuited to public interactions or to being taken off-site to events, but not much phases Atlas. Calm and quiet, he can represent H.O.P.E. Acres in many public-facing situations.
