HOPE Goes to the Fair!
For the first year ever, HOPE Acres went to the Coastal Carolina Fair! We brought along Jewel, Dozer, Cooper, and Rainy, who helped us with fundraising efforts and even recruited some new volunteers.
Highlights of the fundraiser included a visit from Glenn McConnell, an Applebee's gift card giveaway, and an amazing outpouring of support from the community - including the addition of many new volunteers to our HOPE family.
We would like to thank everyone who came out to see us, and those who have expressed both encouragement and appreciation for our efforts. To all of you who have supported us monetarily, we can't thank you enough. You are the very reason that we are able to make such an impact in the equine community. To all of our new found friends, volunteers, and supporters, we are so grateful for the opportunity to share HOPE with you.
We want to extend an extra special thank you to our 2+ year volunteer Lauren Daniels, who will soon be leaving us for an amazing new opportunity in Columbia. Lauren, your optimism, unconditional love for our rescues, and smiling face will be greatly missed around the farm. We wish you the best of luck on this new adventure!
Once again, HOPE is headed to Old Santee Canal Park for our biggest fundraiser of the year, the Celebrate The Season festival of lights. This is a major fundraiser for us and helps to support the rescue for many months to come. We sell home-cooked foods such as soup, chili, hot dogs, chicken and dumplings, and TONS of baked goods. We also sell crafts, wreaths, and other doo-dads that are donated to us -- anything that you would buy at a craft fair, we will sell! If you would like to donate baked goods or crafts, please send us an email at email@example.com.
This fundraiser runs from Nov. 25th - Dec.18th from 6-9:30pm. Even though the festival is open seven days a week, in order to maximize our efforts HOPE will only be fundraising on the busier weekend days (Fri, Sat, Sun). If you'd like to volunteer or donate goods, please let us know! Every little bit helps to support happy, healthy, rescue horses and future rescue efforts.
Tis the Season...
As the holiday season approaches, we want to extend a special thank you to everyone who takes time out of their day -- whether it's the one second it takes to share a Facebook photo or the two hours it takes to drag all of our pastures at the farm -- to support HOPE Acres. Our mission is made possible by YOU, and this holiday season we are especially thankful for all of our amazing supporters.
We are extremely happy to congratulate Cooper on finding his forever home! We know he and his new mom Amy will have a wonderful life together. Although it's always hard to see rescues leave the farm, we know that we are only their temporary caretakers, and we find comfort in the fact that Cooper will live out a happy, healthy, loved life. Congratulations Amy and Cooper!
