Indigo came to H.O.P.E. in January, 2018 via Animal Control of Berkeley County. Her owner was a repeat offender who had already been to court for owner neglect of another horse. Indigo had no running water, only creek access, and was severely emaciated. She also lacked proper veterinary care, vaccinations, and a Coggins, and needed her teeth to be floated. Shy at first, she has gained in both confidence and weight. She is not rideable due to a traumatic injury to her neck and shoulder that resulted in nerve damage.
