3rd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Day
Saturday June 3rd, 2017
10:00am - 1:00pm
This will be a day of fellowship, door prizes, and lunch. We want to celebrate each and every one of our devoted volunteers for your selflessness, your gifts of talent and time, and your commitment to help us help rescue horses. We could not bring about the changes we do without your involvement and we thank you. Let's celebrate!!
This month we covered several hundred miles to welcome four new rescues to the farm! Introducing:
Ivy, Phoenix, Poncho, and Skye
(L to R Top to Bottom)
With the addition of these new four, we now need your support more than ever. If you're interested in donating, please click the button below for a list of items, feed, medical supplies, and other ways you can support HOPE rescue horses.
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered to be part of our Feed Teams! We currently have the week covered, and we greatly appreciate everyone who has offered their time and energy to our daily feeding operations. We couldn't do it without you!
We are excited to announce the introduction of quarterly Volunteer Days at H.O.P.E. Beginning this spring and summer we are changing the way we engage our future volunteers. We look forward to hosting larger groups, offering a day filled with special projects, and providing a greater opportunity for the public to engage in our mission. Our first Volunteer Day will be on July 8, 2017 at 9am. If you know anyone who would like to come out, please point them to our website for details, dates, times, and a link to RSVP.
Volunteer of The Month: TORI BURROUGHS
Tori began volunteering in August of 2015 and has since become a regular volunteer and supporter of the rescue. If you've visited on a Saturday at the farm it's likely you've seen and met Tori; she is the soft spoken, hard at work presence every morning. Tori is typically one of the first at the farm to begin barn chores. Once she learned the ropes she was off and running, tackling duties big and small, wet and muddy, cold and sweltering hot. Tori takes each task on with vigor and passion. She is also a member of our HOPE feed team, a staple at various fundraising events, and a long time supporter and alumni of our Partner Program. There isn't anything that Tori isn't open to lending a hand with and we thank her for that. Congratulations Tori and our heartfelt gratitude for your devotion to the horses and our mission! Well deserved.
